Helical Piers in New Construction Practices

Helical piers are being utilized more and more in urban environments because of their low cost, ease of installation, ability to be installed in confined spaces, and their ability in generating capacities up to 200 kips.

Atlas Systems of New England has installed hundreds of new construction helical piers in the Boston and surrounding areas of New England since 1995. Our ability to successfully install helical piers in differing soil conditions from urban fill, organic soils, and different clay types provides us with the experience to overcome all challenges. Our consulting engineers have designed helical piers systems from a 4-story apartment in Chinatown, a coffee shop adjacent to TD Garden to a 400,000 sqft. warehouse in Quincy and a sewer headwall on the Connecticut River in Springfield.

Contact Atlas Systems today and let us help you design and install a construction helical pier system for your next project.

Each helical pier system is designed to accommodate the design load and are monitored during installation for depth, torque, and capacity. Atlas Systems of New England also has the capacity to perform certified load tests in accordance with ASTM D1143.
